Will May 21 be the end of the world as we know it?

Many believe that with all the natural disasters of late – earthquakes, tsunamis, floods – plus wars and other man-made catastrophes, that the end of the world is near. Many of the religious believe that judgement day is tomorrow, May 21.

Harold Camping, a Christian radio host with Family Radio, has been espousing the idea that the rapture will occur on May 21 – judgement day for all the believers and non-believers, the day when God brings his children up to Heaven and all the rest eventually go to Hell (as the belief goes). The end of the world will come shortly afterward, according to his theory, and the remaining days on Earth won’t be pretty. Some also believe the Mayan calendar predicts the world will end on Dec. 21, 2012.

Simoncelli Promises More Careful

Le Mans - Marco Simoncelli failed to finish races in the last two series in Jerez and Estoril. To race at Le Mans, Gresini Honda rider is promised to be more careful.

Despite starting the race from a good position, Simoncelli failed to finish in Jerez and Estoril. He slipped and eventually could not continue the race.

Google’s Chrome OS

We’ve already seen Google’s Chrome OS. Now, it plays nice with USB storage and devices. And finally, there’s hardware you can get your hands on.



When Google announced the OS, all they had to demonstrate the truest form of Chrome OS on was their CR-48 reference prototype, which was never intended for sale. It was attractively minimal, but didn’t pack much of a punch when it came to its guts. Acer and Samsung have stepped in to solve this problem.

Better hardware. Trackpads are now multitouch and don’t suck. Intel Atom processors running at 1.66GHz are now used. Startup time takes eight seconds. And devices now connect to Chrome OS. If you plug in a camera or thumbdrive, you can manage files or play media files. And Chrome OS will now let you run Gmail offline.

May 21 Judgement Day madness

Some guy named Harold Camping, founder of Family Radio Worldwide, has predicted that the Rapture will happen May 21, 2011, and the world will end on that day.

I think I remember seeing something about him last year, in 2010, with that May 21, 2011, date being prined around the place on busstops and the like.


Judgment Day begins and the Rapture on May 21, 2011... The end of the world on October 21, 2011... Are you crazy? You're just another one of those lunatics like Nostradamus or the Mayans who say the apocalypse will be in 2012 and all the other crazy, absurd people who have predicted dates for the end of the world throughout history only to be proven wrong each and every time. 

Hope Real Madrid to become the champion aground
